I thought this subforum was meant to be for asking technical questions about the site, any new announcements from PF and clarification on certain issues.

It appears that it has now become the forum for whinging, whining, oversensitive little princessy crybabies who cannot cope with following the forum rules (which we all agree to when we sign up) and have nothing better to do with their time than start endless threads either a) sooking about the mods or b) bidding everyone farewell (again) in melodramatic `woe is me’ threads.

I have mentioned this before but on another forum I am on, any public criticism of the mods or the way the forum is run, is worthy of an instant infraction. I used to wonder why - now I can see it. It’s such a waste of time, it’s repetitive, it’s mind-numbingly boring, and it’s really quite pathetic.

Not only that, it’s my feeling that it’s largely attention-seeking and nothing else. If the public arena option for complaint were removed from these people, I’d suggest that the mods wouldn’t start getting bombarded with private communications because that would take away all the attention that goes with starting these endlessly pointless threads.

So, I decided to start a poll. Who agrees that this kind of inane rubbish should be banned from public threads? Obviously people who have issues with things still need to be able to address them (we do live in a democracy) but this should be kept private.

That way all the people who desperately need attention can get it in other forums, and the mods will be freed up to do what it is they’re supposed to do instead of spending their whole time answering pettifogging misdemeanour complaints in here, and the rest of us will be spared the torture of all the whining.
