Each month, I go through some statistics we measure about you, our readers, to see what weird stuff I can come up with. Here’s what we found out in May:
  • Our(*)Argentinean(*)readership more than doubled from last month. Hi, Argentines!
  • Likewise, so did our traffic from Sudan. Makes sense, we write about Sudan a lot.
  • The most popular hour to visit The Seminal is 11:00 am. However, those of you who visit earlier in the day spend more time on the site.
  • The top keyword this month leading from search engines to our site was "Cindy McCain"
  • And, of course, an update on our SEO experiment. This month, the number of visitors we got using the keyword "egypt sex" has gone down(*)significantly. Either we’ve reached the limit of my SEO capabilities, or Google is finally realizing this blog is not about egypt or sex. We’ll see what happens next month.

That’s it for this month’s installment. Once again, thanks for reading, and check back next month for more weird moments in web analytics!
