Now that I have two HR20’s, one with a 1 TB external drive, between the overall space and 4 turners, I’m covered on being able to record and store all the shows I want for a season.

Plus, the HR20’s support Media Share, I don’t see the need to keep the HR10-250 for $5/month. If the HR10-250 would support playing movies off the PC or the other D* DVR, I would keep it just to use it in a different room. But since that’s not the case, I’m having a difficult time justifying keeping it. Heck, I’m half tempted to take out the hard drive and use it in my PC.

Please someone tell me a feature I’m missing and that I should keep the HR10. And by feature, I mean something I don’t have to hack at.

Even if I do have to hack at it to get network over USB and file sharing to work, could I use it just to play files off my PC even without the D* service. I know that one can watch shows that are on the unit prior to disconnecting the service.

Thanks.
