Has anyone ever seen anything done with motion following bots?

Looking or moving towards said motion.

I am on a kick of Junkbot/Bugbots/Beambots and have an idea and not sure how to proceed.

Also if you know a good tempered beginner/intermediate bot building community…pls forward a link.
