Ive place a couple adsense link units in a good spot on my site recently. I don’t have enough traffic yet to tell if they are effective or not but to me they don’t seem that appealing. It would be easy for someone to click on the unit but then it takes you to another page with ads displayed. I figure even your average user would click the back button because they know it is an advertisement, thus no $.

Has anyone here noticed good results from a link unit? I really am not losing anything by putting them on my page because it allows you to have more than 3 adsense units on a page, but I dunno if they are as effective as normal adsense ad units.

If you want to see mine my homepage is http://www.starcrafted.org, if you are using IE or anything besides firefox it may look a bit distorted since I haven’t fixed it for other browsers yet. You can see that the link units are at the top of the page where it would be logical to think it is my site’s actual navigation.
